I started this print in 2018 and as I designed it then I was thinking about disillusionment, war, cultural collapse. It feels even more salient now, with the collapse of democratic institutions, new wars, political and gun violence, climate change, and great uncertainty about what will happen to the United States of America and the world. There is so much grief that comes with all of that.

There’s some fine print, rubber stamped in the lower left portion of the print, that reads “Let justice roll down like water.” It’s a verse from the Bible, Amos 5:24.
