Lieutenant General Charles L. Plummer, was the top judge advocate general, or JAG, for the Air Force. JAGs are licensed attorneys who serve within the US military, providing comprehensive legal services and ensuring adherence to the rule of law across various military operations and administrative functions. Plummer was fired on February 21, 2025 by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth along with Army JAG Lieutenant General Joseph B. Berger III. In public comments and writings, Hegseth has expressed frustration with JAGs, calling them “jagoffs” in one of his books, and claiming that they tie the hands of warfighters. This drawing is a record of Plummer’s 30 years of service.
